GROUNDSPERSON/PREMISES OFFICER

Grade:  Bex 5.1 £22,185 – Bex 5.4 £22,587

36 hours per week 52 weeks per year

Hours of work: Shift work determined by the School

 

The Governors wishes to appoint a conscientious and reliable person to join our dedicated Premises Team.  The suitable candidate would work under the direct instruction of the Premises Manager.

 

We are looking for a hardworking, reliable individual who is committed to the success of the school in providing a safe, secure and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. Applicants will ideally have experience of working in a school or similar environment and have practical grounds maintenance experience. The post involves working closely with staff at all levels and ensuring the grounds and the school buildings are maintained to a high standard.

 

The main responsibilities of the role are to:

  • maintain the sports grounds to a calendar/schedule to be agreed.
  • ensure the school grounds are maintained to a high standard.
  • maintain a safe and healthy environment around the school site.
  • assist with premises maintenance including cleaning, heating, health & safety, security and other general premises service provision which supports teaching and learning.

 

Hurstmere school isa popular, non selective academy for boys aged 11 -16, serving the local community of Sidcup.
