UK Space Design Competition

On Saturday 7th December six Year 10 pupils travelled to Imperial College, London to take part in the Regional Heats of the UK Space Design Competition.   This heavily involved STEM subjects as the pupils spent the whole day designing a Space Station.  They were given a design brief at the start and had to plan the space station down to every last detail, including dietary requirements, engineering of station, materials, fuels, contingency plans, calculations of gravitational spin and more.

We are delighted that the pupils are through to the National Final, a 2-day event to be held in London in March 2020.  Congratulations to everyone who took part in the competition.
