Hurstmere Awarded The Diana Award Wellbeing Badge

Hurstmere School has been awarded The Diana Award Wellbeing Badge. This award acknowledges the school's dedication to the mental and emotion health of staff and Diana awardpupils, demonstrated through a range of activities laid on by staff in lessons, extra curricular events and clubs and pupils themselves.

The Diana Award said

"We are so impressed by all these incredible wellbeing focused activities. It seems that the Anti-Bullying Ambassadors have had a really positive impact on wellbeing in school and created an environment where everyone is encouraged to talk about their emotions and their wellbeing concerns. I’m particularly impressed that the team took a step back to look at feedback on their initial peer support group and then developed this into something more effective and so well attended. It’s also really great to see that the support for students has continued through lockdown via a wellbeing newsletter which is encouraging self care during such a difficult time for many students. Thank you so much for sharing all this evidence. We’ve really loved looking over it all.

Congratulations, we are awarding you the Wellbeing Badge! What a fantastic achievement and a true testament of your hard work as a team."
