Hurstmere joined the nation in observing two minutes silence for those who have fallen in war. Our pupils and staff ensured that the reverence of the occasion was not lost in the current climate, and we thanked those that purchased a poppy for The Royal British Legion Appeal.
One of the school’s core values ‘Respect’ was wholeheartedly supported by our boys, as they remembered those who gave their lives for the freedom of others. During their co-curriculum lesson pupils watched a pre-recorded Remembrance assembly.
Remembrance Day is a time of hope; the hope of a better, more peaceful world for everyone.
