Carol Concert - 2nd December 2011 - Amazing Feedback.
The boys in Year 7 at Hurstmere School participated in a Carol Concert on 2nd of December at the Holy Trinity Church in Hurst Road. The concert was performed in front of the school governors and senior teaching staff as well as a large collection of parents.
The songs which the boys sang were: "Feed the World", "Merry Christmas" by John Lennon and an arrangement of "Hark the Herald" sung to the tune of "Hallelujah". These songs had been conducted in lessons with Mr Robertson and small group of boys also worked with Mr Gilbert singing, "Silent Night" and "Away in a Manger".
The Year 7s have been working on group singing as part of the curriculum and have already participated in two singing assemblies.
The feedback from the concert has been brilliant with governors and parents all sending excellent comments about the boys' performance. Mr Robertson would like to say a special "thank you" to all of the boys for putting on such a great show!
