SENSATIONAL - SHAKESPEARE SCHOOL FESTIVAL 2011
On Tuesday 1st November, students from Years 9 and 10, together with the Year 11 GCSE Drama students performed Julius Caesar at The Orchard Theatre in Dartford as part of the Shakespeare School Festival, in partnership with the National Theatre London.
The cast were incredible and received praise from everyone, including the director of the festival, Bonnie Austin, who wrote to Mr Stringer:
“I wanted to write and thank Hurstmere School for participating in this year's Shakespeare Schools Festival (SSF). We are sure you are as proud of your students as we are and SSF would be delighted to welcome your school back again next year…”
Students are welcome to sign up again for next year’s festival where they will be performing The Tempest at The Orchard Theatre. Looking forward to it already!
