Year 10 Work Experience 11th - 22nd July 2022

Year 10 Work Experience at Hurstmere School

The main aims are to help students prepare for the change from school to employment and to provide an opportunity to practice and observe key skills. Work experience gives students a chance to take part in actual work, with the emphasis on ‘doing’ rather than ‘watching’. This will give students first-hand experience of the differences between school and employment as part of their education.

Those Year 10 pupils who have not been able to secure face to face work experience, are invited to attend school during this period and complete virtual work experience.

Children and young people who are on roll at the education establishment may participate in approved schemes. Work experience for children is controlled by the 1996 Education Act and Section 112 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998. Children may only legally take part in work experience when they are in Year 10 or above.
