ex-Hurstmere pupil achieves the Forbes â30 Under 30â list
At 22, Robert Taylor is the youngest Senior Camera Journalist at the BBC and has created content for the company’s entire news platforms. His work has taken him nationwide, to Europe and around the world. Robert has now been recognised for his amazing talent with a nomination in the prestigious Forbes ’30 Under 30’ list, within the Media & Marketing category.
Robert left Hurstmere School in 2014 and whilst studying for his A Levels at Beths Grammar School began freelancing for the BBC. During his time at Hurstmere he was an all-round ‘Media geek’, displaying great skills with cameras, lights and sound, and was always part of our in-house tech team.
Robert has said that whilst he had the opportunity to go to University he is glad that he chose an Apprenticeship. Mixing on-the-job experience with college-based training, whilst getting a qualification and being paid for it is a brilliant way to get into an industry.
Congratulations to Robert – I am sure his is a name we will hear in years to come.
